Man Arrested Amid Fatal Assault Probe In Kerry

A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal assault in Killorglin, County Kerry, over the weekend.

32-year-old Stephen O'Connor was critically injured during an incident outside a fast-food restaurant on Sunday 10 February.

He later died at Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí arrested a man in his 20's on Thursday in connection with the incident.

A post-mortem was carried out on the victim, but details of the results have not yet been released.

Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Man Injured In Kerry Stabbing
A man has been injured in a stabbing in Co Kerry. It is understood that the 35-year-old was stabbed during an incident in An Daingean. He was taken to Kerry General Hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not believed to be serious. Gardaí are investigating the incident.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Arrested Over Co Kerry Drug Seizure
Gardaí have seized an estimated €40,000 worth of drugs at a house in County Kerry on Thursday morning. One man was arrested during the drugs raid, and is due to appear before Tralee District Court. Garda said the find was made as a result of an "intelligence led operations" and that its investigations were ongoing.
