Woman Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Tallaght
A woman has died after she was struck by a Luas in Dublin on the morning of Thursday 14 February.
Patricia Quinn, 71, from the Belgard area of Tallaght was on foot when she was hit by the vehicle.
It happened at around 10am between the Cookstown and Tallaght Hospital stops.
The red Luas line was closed for some time while emergency services responded to the incident, but has since returned to normal service.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and asked drivers with dash-cam footage in the area to come forward.

A man who had been missing from the Tallaght area has been found 'safe and well', Garda have reported. 30-year-old John Rodgers was reported missing on 11 July. However, Garda said John has now been found and thanked the public for their assistance.

Teen Arrested Following Firearm Seizure
A 19-year-old man has been arrested by gardaí following the seizure of a firearm in Tallaght, Dublin. He was arrested on the Jobstown Road at approximately 12.40am on Tuesday morning. Gardaí were alerted after a man was seen holding a weapon. The male was chased on foot and gardaí disarmed and arrested him.

Man Shot In Leg At His Dublin Home
A man was shot in the leg at his home in Dublin last night. The man, in his 30s, was shot at a number of times, at his house in Tallaght, south Dublin, according to Gardai. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital, and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The victim was shot at three times in the leg at his front door.

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 58-year-old man in connection with the find of a woman's body on Saturday. According to Garda the body of a woman, thought to be aged in her 50s, was found at a house in Woodlawn park Grove, Firhouse, by emergency services at about 13:30. A post-mortem is to be carried out at Tallaght Hospital.

An 18-year-old man has died following a car crash in Sligo during the weekend. The single-vehicle accident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning near Riverstown. The 18-year-old driver lost his fight for life at Sligo General Hospital yesterday evening. His front-seat passenger was also seriously injured in the crash.
