Cannabis Worth Estimated €360,000 Seized In Vehicle Stop
Cannabis herb worth an estimated €360,000 has been seized in an intelligence-led operation targeting an organised crime gang in Dublin.
The seizure was made when a van was stopped and searched in the Coolock area by gardai from the Eastern Region, supported by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau.
A man, aged in his 30s, was detained in connection with the seizure and remains in custody at Ballymun Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of The Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.

In a statement released this morning, Gardai said they had seized the drugs and arrested the two males following an intelligence lead operation in Dublin yesterday.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Seizure
A man has been arrested following a drugs seizure in Cork at around 10.30pm on Wednesday night. Around €58,000 worth of cannabis plants and equipment were found during the search of a house in Mallow. He is currently being questioned at Mallow garda station.

Man Arrested Over Mullingar Drug Seizure
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a drug seizure in Co Westmeath. Gardai from the Westmeath Divisional Drug Unit stopped a car near Kinnegad at approximately 7:30pm on Wednesday. Heroin worth an estimated €45,000 was discovered during a search of the vehicle.
