Man Dies After Being Struck By Luas

A man has died after he was hit by a Luas tram in Dublin.

The collision took place shortly before midnight on Monday 11 March at the Kingswood area in south-west Dublin.

Gardaí confirmed this morning, Tuesday 12, that the man was knocked down and killed.

Trams were suspended between Red Cow and Tallaght/Saggart following the incident, with services back up and running this morning.

Gardaí have launched an investigation.

Gardaí Appeal For Missing Man Greg Ward
Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing missing Dublin man Greg Ward. Mr Ward, 31, was last seen in Blanchardstown on Sunday 3 May. He is described as being 6'2" in height and has a vast amount of tattoos and piercings over his body. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Stable After Being Struck By Luas
A man struck by a Luas tram in south Dublin on Tuesday night is in a stable condition in hospital. The incident happened at Cheeverstown at about 20:15 on Tuesday, Dublin Fire Service have said. It is understood that an 18-year-old man was on the tracks between the Citywest and Cheeverstown stops when he was hit.

Missing Dublin Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A Dublin man missing since Sunday morning has been found "safe and well". 27-year-old Glen Fitzpatrick was reported missing from his home in Inchicore, Dublin 8. Gardaí had issued an appeal for information on Monday and have thanked the public for their help. No details of where Mr Fitzpatrick was during the time he was missing have been released.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.
