Police Seize Cannabis Worth €44k In Cork
Revenue officers in Cork have seized 2.2kgs of herbal cannabis worth around €44,000.
The drugs, found on Wednesday 01 May, were discovered in a package that arrived from Italy. It was destined for an address in west Cork.
Investigations are ongoing.
The seizures are part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting drug importations. Anyone with information about drug smuggling is urged to contact Revenue on confidence on confidential phone line 1800 295 295.

The 'Excellence'-branded cigarettes and 'Flandria'-branded tobacco have a retail value in excess of €16,855, representing a loss to the Exchequer of approximately €13,300.

Revenue Officers in Cork have seized 25,000 cigarettes following a search operation at a house in Macroom. The cigarettes, branded 'Marlboro', 'L&M', 'Mayfair' and 'Che', have a retail value in excess of €13,000, representing a loss of around €10,400 to the Exchequer.

€100k Cannabis Seized At Dublin Mail Centre
Revenue officers have seized 5kg of herbal cannabis worth an estimated €100,000 at the Dublin Mail Centre. The drugs were found today, Thursday 18 April, with the assistance of Revenue detector dog Bailey. They were concealed in seven different parcels labelled as 'diaries', 'kitchen tools', 'USB fan', 'toys' and 'car air fresheners'.

Revenue officers at Portlaoise Mail centre have seized herbal cannabis with a street value of around €142,000 as a result of routine profiling. The 7.1kg of illegal drugs were concealed in two parcels, sent from the USA and Canada, destined for two separate addresses in Dublin City Centre.
