Fourteen Men Arrested In Four-Day Garda Operation

Fourteen men, aged between 16 and 30, have been arrested as a result of a four-day Gardaí operation in Dublin.

The operation was targeting street dealers in Ballymun and 14 houses were searched.

During the operation officers seized cannabis herb and cocaine worth around €42,000, more than €14,000 in cash, two cars and a scrambler motorcycle.

All the men were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. 12 of those are understood to have been charged and are due to appear before courts. The remaining two were released while files are prepared for the DPP.

Three Arrested In Waterford In Operation Thor Operation
Three men have been arrested in Co Waterford as part of Operation Thor, an ongoing national anti-crime initiative. The men were arrested on Thursday evening when garda stopped a car in Tramore. They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tramore and Waterford Garda Stations.

Three Men Arrested In Connection With Co Meath Cannabis Seizure
Three men have been arrested following the seizure of cannabis herb worth an estimated €2.7 million in CO Meath. The discovery was made when detectives searched a number of vehicles in Ashbourne shortly after 3pm on Tuesday, 25 October.

Two Men Arrested Following Attempted Robbery
Two men in their 30s have been arrested following an attempted robbery at a shop in Dublin on Thursday. Two masked men entered the shop on the Lower Rathmines Road at around 6.20pm. One was armed with a screwdriver and they demanded cash from the shop assistant. A struggle took place and the two men fled empty handed.
