Skeletal Remains Found At Wicklow Recycling Plant

An investigation was launched yesterday after a skull and bones were uncovered at a recycling plant in Bray, County Wicklow.

The human remains are believed to have been "medical specimens" used for the training of medical professionals.

Following a forensic examination, Gardaí determined that no crime had been committed and returned the remains to their rightful owner.

Human Remains Found At Recycling Plant Confirmed As Male
Human remains found at a recycling plant in Dublin belonged to a man, Gardaí have confirmed. Staff at the Thornton's recycling centre on Killeen Road, Ballyfermot, found the lower part of a human leg on Friday and called gardaí. The upper part of a leg was then found on Saturday.

Human Leg Found At Dublin Recycling Plant
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a human leg at a Dublin recycling plant. The limb was found by an employee at Thorntons Recycling Centre on the Killeen Road, Ballyfermot at about 23:40 on Thursday night. The scene has been sealed off to allow for a forensic examination, which is due to take place today.

Gardaí Renew Appeal Over Remains Found At Dublin Recycling Plant
Gardaí have renewed an appeal for help in identifying the remains of a man found at a recycling plant in Dublin in July. The human remains were found on 31 July at Thornton's Recycling Plant on Killeen Road, Ballyfermot. Gardaí say that they believe it to be a European male, aged between 25 and 45 and approximately 5'8" to 6' tall.

Blast At Dublin Recycling Plant
An explosion at a Dublin recycling plant left some 22 people hospitalised suffering from respiratory problems. The incident is believed to have been caused by a number of aerosol cans exploding after they were mistakenly placed in containers to be recycled.

SIPTU To Meet With Rehab Enterprises
SIPTU representatives will meet with the management of Rehab Enterprises on Thursday to discuss threatened redundancies at the company's Galway recycling plant. Eighteen workers at the Galway facility, many of them with disabilities, are to be made redundant during March in a selection process which takes no account of their disabilities.
