Young Woman Killed In Co Laois Crash
A woman aged in her mid-20s has died in a road traffic collision in County Laois.
The two-vehicle crash took place on the Lea Road in Portarlington at around 8.20am on Sunday morning, 07 July.
Two adults and two children travelling in the second vehicle were taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
Gardaí are seeking witnesses, particularly anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage, to contact them.

Status Yellow Rainfall Warning Issued Across 11 Counties
Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow weather warning for rain across 11 counties. The warning, which came into effect at 7am this morning, is in place for Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan. The warning will remain in place until 6am tomorrow, when it will be reviewed.

Water Conservation Orders Lifted As Rainfall Increases
Irish Water has announced the water conservation orders have been lifted in the Southern, Eastern and Midlands regions. The areas that have had their order lifted include: Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Cork, Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny, Carlow, Laois, Offaly, Wicklow, Meath, Westmeath, Louth and Dublin.

Gardaí in Co Laois have reported the death of a 47-year-old following a road crash on the M7 Dublin-Limerick road. The crash happened near Portlaoise shortly before 10pm on Thursday night. According to gardaí, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was reopened on Friday morning following a technical examination.

A man has been killed in a collision in Galway. The car crash happened at around 2.45am this morning on the Headford to Galway Road. The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two people have died as a result of road collisions on Ireland's road's yesterday evening. In the latest incident, a young man was killed when his car smashed into a tree in his hometown. Brian Kelly, 28, from Durrow, Co Laois, died in the crash on the N8 at Watercastle, Durrow, shortly before 10pm.
