Witnesses Sought To Fatal Collision In Co CLare
Gardaí in Ennis have issued an appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision in Co Clare.
Shortly after 7pm on Thursday 14 November Gardaí and emergency services attended at the scene of a collision involving a car and pedestrian. The collision occurred on the N68 at Darragh, on the main Ennis to Kilrush road.
A 41-year-old female pedestrian was seriously injured when she was struck by a car. The woman was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick where she was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was unharmed.
The road is currently closed to traffic and local diversions are in place. Garda forensic collision investigators will begin examining the crash site at first light. The local Coroner will be notified.

Man Dead After Co Clare Crash
A man has died following a crash in County Clare this morning. The 23-year-old was taken to Ennis General Hospital after the one-vehicle crash in Lahinch at 1.30am. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Two women and one man, all in their 20s, were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries. They were passengers in the car.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Trim on thursday, 16 February. Amale pedestrian, aged in his 20s, was found with fatal injuries at the side of the Rathmolyon to Summerhill Road at approximately 8.50pm. The man is understood to have been hit by a car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

A man has been killed in a two vehicle road crash that occurred between Parkanna Cross Rd and Davis Cross on the Blarney to Bweeng Road at approximately 11.30am on Tuesday. The man in his 20's was fatally injured when his car collided with a lorry. He was the sole occupant of the car and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
