Two Arrested In Connection With Major Drug Seizure In Tipperary
A man and a woman, both aged in their 20s, have been arrested in connection with the seizure of approximately €100,000 of suspected cannabis and cocaine, and cash totalling €2,250 in Lagganstown, Tipperary on 28th November, 2019.
As part of Operation Overwatch, Gardaí from the Tipperary Divisional Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a house in Lagganstown, Golden, Co. Tipperary shortly before 10am.
During the course of the search a large quantity of suspected cannabis and a smaller quantity of cocaine was discovered in a car located on the grounds of the property. Approximately €2,250 in cash and items of drug paraphernalia were also seized during the course of the search. The suspected drugs will now be sent for analysis.
A woman in her 20s was arrested at scene and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Thurles Garda Station
A man in his 20s was later arrested at a separate location and is also detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Thurles Garda Station.

One of the key measures in the legislation provides for Preliminary Drug Testing, which will enable Gardaí to test motorists whom they suspect of driving under the influence of drugs at the roadside.

Gardaí Arrest 45 In Major Drugs Operation
A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and “crack” cocaine in the Dublin region. The operation, which involved Garda drug units from Kevin Street, Pearse Street and Store Street stations, resulted in 150 charges being brought, according to Gardaí this morning.

Man Charged With The Murder Of Bobby Ryan
A 49-year-old man is due to appear before Tipperary District Court charged in connection with the murder of Bobby Ryan. Father-of-two Bobby Ryan of Boherlahan, Cashel, Co Tipperary was reported missing to Tipperary Town Gardaí on 3 June 2011. His remains were found concealed in an underground concrete tank on a farm at Fawnagowan, on 30 April 2013.

Appeal Issued For Missing Tipperary Man
Gardaí have appealed for help in tracing missing Tipperary man John Esmonde. The 38-year-old has been missing since around 22:00 on Wednesday 11 March. When last seen he was wearing a dark jacket, blue denim trousers and a black woollen hat. He is believed to have been carrying a brown shopping bag.
