Arrests As Drugs Worth €135k Seized In Dublin

A man and woman have been arrested following the discovery of drugs worth an estimated €135,000 in Dublin.

As part of an intelligence led operation, Gardaí attached to Crumlin and Sundrive Garda Stations searched two properties in Crumlin and Drimnagh, Dublin 12 yesterday, Thursday 05 December.

A quantity of benzodiazepines, cocaine and heroin (subject to analysis) was subsequently seized.

A male and female, both in their 20s, were arrested in relation to this incident and are currently detained at Crumlin Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Man Arrested And Firearm Seized
A firearm has been seized and a man arrested in Crumlin, Dublin. According to gardaí, they were investigating reports of criminal damage at Rutland Grove when they witnessed a row break out between a number of men. The firearm was seized from one of the men involved in the row and he was subsequently arrested.

Four Arrested And Firearm Seized
Four men have been arrested and a firearm seized following a Garda search in the Crumlin area of Dublin. Officers also recovered a telescopic sight and firearm component parts during the operation at Captain's Road in Crumlin, Dublin. The search began yesterday afternoon and was carried out by Dublin Metropolitan Region detectives.

Woman Arrested Over 1988 Murder
A woman in her late 30s has been arrested in connection with attempted murder of Christopher Payne in 1988. Gardaí said that following a review by the Garda Serious Crime Review Team assisted by the Detective Unit attached to Crumlin Garda Station, a woman in her late 30's was arrested in Co Cavan on Monday in connection with the incident.

Bomb Found Under Car In Dublin
An explosive device has been found under a car in Dublin yesterday. Officers at Sundrive Road and Crumlin Garda Stations were dispatched to Raleigh Square, Crumlin, in Dublin after a being alerted to a potential bomb. On arrival at the scene a device was discovered under a car parked outside a house in the area.
