Rainfall Warning Issued For Nine Counties
Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow weather warning for rainfall across nine counties in the west of the country.
Heavy rain is forecast for all of Connacht, Longford, Donegal, Clare and Kerry. There is a risk of localised flooding.
The warning will come into effect in the early hours of Wednesday morning and will be in effect until 4am Thursday.
There are 25 to 40mm expected of rain forecast in this period.

Status Yellow Rainfall Warning Issued Across 11 Counties
Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow weather warning for rain across 11 counties. The warning, which came into effect at 7am this morning, is in place for Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan. The warning will remain in place until 6am tomorrow, when it will be reviewed.

River Shannon Water Levels Rise After Heavy Rain
Water levels on the River Shannon have risen two inches due to heavy rainfall, Clare County Council has announced. The current water level on the Lower River Shannon at SpringField, Clonlara is now roughly four to five inches below the peak levels of November 2009, which was reached last weekend.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange weather warning for the region. The wind warning was issued on Sunday night (8 March) and is expected to remain in place until at least midnight on Monday. The warning if for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo. The forecaster said: "Southerly winds of mean speed 60-65km/h.

Royal Visit Marked By Dublin Bus Bomb
A bomb has been planted on a Dublin-bound bus overnight. Irish Army bomb disposal officers later dealt with the 'viable device' after it were detected close to Dublin. It came just hours before the Queen was due to arrive in the city on an historic four-day visit.
