Pedestrian Hit And Killed After Van Mounts The Pavement In Dublin

Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a van in Raheny, Dublin 5 yesterday.

It is believed that at approximately 7pm last night, Wednesday 04 March, a van mounted the pavement on the James Larkin road and struck a female pedestrian. The woman, aged in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem is due to be carried out at Connolly Hospital.

The scene at the crash site is currently preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the cycle pathway on this road remains closed.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and road users with camera footage, who were travelling on this road between 6.45pm and 7.30pm, to contact Raheny Garda Station on 01 6664300 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111

Male Pedestrian Killed In Hit And Run
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Trim on thursday, 16 February. Amale pedestrian, aged in his 20s, was found with fatal injuries at the side of the Rathmolyon to Summerhill Road at approximately 8.50pm. The man is understood to have been hit by a car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pedestrian Killed By SUV In Co Louth
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the Slane Road in Drogheda. A male pedestrian, aged in his 40s, died in hospital after he was struck by an SUV at about 10.20pm on Wednesday night, 11 August. The man was treated at the scene before being taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

Arrest Over Dublin Cocaine Seizure
A man has been arrested after Gardaí seized cocaine with an estimated street value of €280,000 in Dublin on Thursday night. Gardaí found 4kg of the drug when they stopped a car on the Malahide Road shortly before 6:30pm yesterday evening. A man in his 30s has been arrested and is being held at Raheny Garda Station.

Witnesses Sought To Fatal Collision In Co CLare
Gardaí in Ennis have issued an appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision in Co Clare. Shortly after 7pm on Thursday 14 November Gardaí and emergency services attended at the scene of a collision involving a car and pedestrian. The collision occurred on the N68 at Darragh, on the main Ennis to Kilrush road.

Another Deadly Road Collision Reported
There has been yet another fatal road accident. The gardaí in Co Cork are this afternoon investigating the circumstances of a deadly road traffic collision which occurred on the Main St, Macroom just after noon today. The police have reported that a female pedestrian involved in the incident was killed and was pronounced dead at the scene.
