Six Of Belfast’s Best Game And Entertainment Centres

A number of exciting businesses are being established all over Ireland.

From sports shops and delicious restaurants to wedding photographers and security services, Ireland and Northern Ireland’s homegrown business offering continues to be strong in 2023.

One area of business that is recording notable success, particularly given peoples’ desire to get out and about more these days, is game and entertainment centres. These types of businesses offer a range of fun activities for people to enjoy. Belfast is a great city that certainly has a strong selection of businesses in this area too, making it a go-to destination for birthday bashes, stag do’s, or simply for local people who want to let their hair down.

With some of Belfast’s game and entertainment centres receiving glowing reviews online recently, let’s take a look at six of the best of them below.

Black Axe Throwing Co

One of the fastest-growing social activities on Earth, urban axe throwing is a fun activity to enjoy with friends and family. With experienced instructors guiding you and the option to learn the basics before getting into the competitive action, Belfast’s Black Axe Throwing Co is a great way to get a taste for axe throwing if you’ve never sampled it before. A welcoming environment that offers a truly unique activity that most people haven’t tried previously, Black Axe Throwing Co is well worth visiting.

Northern Ireland Footgolf

A growing sport that combines both football and golf, the aim of footgolf is to kick your way around the course just like golfers do, except using your feet and a soccer ball instead of golf clubs and a golf ball. Northern Ireland Footgolf is certainly the place to do it in Belfast.

We Are Vertigo

Ever fancied experiencing the thrill of skydiving? Well, Belfast’s very own We Are Vertigo is a fantastic indoor location to experience it in all its glory without having to jump out of a plane. Located in Belfast’s famous Titanic Quarter, a knowledgeable instructor will guide you before you attempt one of the biggest jumps of your life. A truly exhilarating experience, anyone can do it.

VR CityX

At the time of writing, VR CityX is Northern Ireland’s only virtual reality gaming arcade. An option that appeals to people, everyone is gaming in the modern world anyway, therefore making enhanced gaming opportunities like this one hard to turndown. Alongside playing leading console products like Elden Ring, sampling simulators like Police Simulator on PC, and playing roulette games at an online casino, people are open to sampling new and improved gaming products. VR CityX certainly provides that, with more than 300 virtual reality games and experiences to choose from. From Batman to Minecraft, there are some truly exhilarating products to quite literally throw yourself into.

Boulder World

The biggest and best indoor climbing venue in the whole of Northern Ireland, Boulder World serves up plenty of fun as climbers of all abilities aim to make the most of essentially what is a giant indoor playground for adults. Coaches will educate you on the best techniques while you’re having to trust your loved ones to belay while you attempt to nail a tricky route. It’s a challenge but climbing is a great activity to get stuck into.

Trigger Happy

If gaming and climbing aren’t your thing, then some gun-filled action might be. Available at Trigger Happy, this airsoft site offers an abundance of enjoyable options to sample. Located in East Belfast, it’s a venue that is welcome to all ages and abilities, with helpful and accommodating staff there to help you master your sharpshooting skills before getting involved in some epic combat.
