Two Stabbed In Tipperary Dispute
Two young men are being treated in hospital after they received serious stab wounds in Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary last night.
Gardai found the two men lying on the street at around midnight and have said that the men are lucky to be alive.
Up to 60 people were involved in a row between two gangs of youths and the trouble started on Main Street before spreading to Bridge Street where the two men were attacked.
Gardai have preserved the scene for a full investigation and technical examination.

A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of the bodies of two elderly brothers at their home in Castlebar on Wednesday. A home-help for the brothers alerted gardai at around 07:00 after she arrived at their home and found their bodies.

Gardaí Drug Bust Scoops €5m
A Gardaí operation in Dublin has turned up a major drug find resulting in arrests and the seizure of a heroin stash worth almost €5 million. According to a Gardaí spokesman, an ongoing operation targeting illegal drug activity in the South Dublin area led officers from the National Support Services to stop a van in the Templeogue area.

Three In Court Following Tipperary Attack
Three of the five men arrested in relation to the shooting and stabbing of two men in Tipperary yesterday are appearing in Roscrea District Court this Thursday morning. The other two men were released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions regarding their detentions.

Four men are to appear in court today in connection with a drugs find in Finglas. Gardai seized 470 cannabis plants during a raid on three properties at Meakstown Close on Saturday. It is estimated to have a street value of €376,000. The men were arrested on Saturday night and are to appear at Blanchardstown District Court.

Over 100 Kilos of Cannabis Recovered
Two men have been arrested in connection with a massive drugs haul in Dublin following a stop and search. Gardai seized over 100 kilograms of what is believed to be cannabis resin and arrested the two men aged 24 and 31, following an operation on the M1 Motorway near Swords, Dublin 10, yesterday evening.
