Cork Family 'Ireland's Biggest Lottery Winners'

A family from Cork city are believed to be the winners of the Republic of Ireland's biggest ever lottery jackpot.

The family of seven, believed to be from Faranree in Cork, reportedly scooped the 16 million euro jackpot.

The winning ticket is understood to have been purchased in a Centra shop in Faranree on Friday.

Ireland's biggest ever lottery winner was Dolores McNamara from Co. Limerick, who won 112 million euros in the Euromillions lottery in July 2005.
