Teenager Killed In Lanzarote Is Named
An Irish tourist killed in Lanzarote has been named as Derek Cumiskey from Townsend Street in Dublin.
Mr Cumiskey was on holiday with his sister and some friends when he was fatally assaulted yesterday.
He was a special needs student who had completed his Junior Certificate earlier this year and his sister remains in Lanzarote where Irish diplomatic staff are assisting her.
Spanish police are still investigating the death of the 18-year-old who was beaten with an iron bar.
The incident in the town of Puerto del Carmen is believed to have taken place after a traffic incident led to a row at around 5.30am.
The teenage victim got involved in a fight with four other people, who fled the scene in a car.
Police are reported to be searching for two people in particular in connection with the incident.

GOAL Workers Abducted In Sudan
Irish Aid agency GOAL has reported two of its Sudanese workers "unaccounted for" after an incident occurred in the Darfur region. The staff were abducted by an unknown group at Kutum town in North Darfur on Wednesday. A third agency worker is also missing and a driver was also abducted but has since been released.

The Stormont First Minister Peter Robinson has this morning expressed his sympathy to the family of a soldier from the 1st Battalion Irish Guards who has been killed in Afghanistan. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced that he was shot in an ambush while patrolling in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand Province yesterday afternoon.
