Man Charged Over Fatal Dublin Stabbing

A 20-year-old Dublin man has been charged in connection with the stabbing of Mark Spellman in Sandymount on Saturday morning.

Dane Pearse from the Irishtown area of south Dublin has been charged at Dublin District Court with serious assault and possession of a weapon.

Mark Spellman, 26, from Dalkey died following the attack at Londonbridge Road in Sandymount early on Saturday morning.

Mr Pearse was remanded in custody to appear again before Cloverhill District Court on Wednesday.

Missing Dublin Teen Found 'Safe And Well'
Gardaí have reported that missing 18-year-old Kayleigh Carroll has be found and is safe and well. Miss Carroll had been missing from her Dublin home since last Saturday. Gardaí have not revealed where Miss Carroll was found or where she had spent her time while missing but have said that she is "safe and well", thanking the public for their help.

Man Charged Over Serious Assault
A man in his 20s is expected to appear in court, charged in connection with a serious assault that happened at Dorset Street, Dublin. On Sunday morning, at around 1.45am, Gardaí were called to the scene at an apartment at Kelly's Row. A man, aged in his 30s, was suffered serious injuries in the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Multiple revenue operations last week have seen officers remove counterfeit cigarettes and over €18,000 in cash from the public realm. The seizures were carried out in Dublin City and Dublin Airport and saw one person charged.

Polish Murder Trial Accused Named
The Dublin youth standing trail for the murders of two Polish men in Dublin on February has been named. David Curran, 18, from Lissadel Green in Drimnagh, Dublin 12, was named after he recently turned 18 and is no longer protected as a juvenile. He stands trial for two counts of murder of Pawel Kalite and Marius Szwajkos.

Two Men Remanded Over Dublin Shooting
Two men have been remanded in custody after appearing at Kilmainham District Court on Monday charged in connection with a shooting at a house in west Dublin on Saturday morning. Several shots were fired through the window of a house in Cherry Orchard Parade in Ballyfermot around 4am on Saturday.
