Hickey 'Doubtful' For All-Ireland SHC Semi

Kilkenny full-back Noel Hickey is a 'major injury doubt' ahead of next month's All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi-final, it has been revealed.

It is understood that Hickey has suffered a hamstring injury.

The Cats sealed their place in the All-Ireland final after beating Wexford in the semi-final on Saturday. However, manager Brian Cody's major concern now is regarding the health of his defender.

Speaking to the 'Daily Star', Cody said: "He tore his hamstring, pulled up badly and it's a big concern for us because I've said many times before Noel Hickey is just a phenomenal player for us."

Kilkenny will face either Waterford or Limerick in the All-Ireland final on September 2.
