Woman Arrested Over Cocaine Find

A 28-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the seizure of 3kg of cocaine - believed to have been worth around €200k - in Drogheda, Co Louth.

The drugs were found as part of a joint customs and Garda operation.

The woman was arrested in a house in Bryanstown Manor during a planned search at approximately 4.30pm on Thursday afternoon.

The woman, who is originally from west Africa, was taken to Donnybrook Garda Station where she is still being questioned.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Woman Released Without Charge Over Donegal Murder
A woman arrested in connection with the murder of Seamus Donnelly has been released without charge. Mr Doherty was killed at his home in Drumacanoo on 17 June 2012. The woman, 57, was released this morning. A man, 51, who was arrested on Wednesday is still being questioned by garda.

Woman Arrested Following Cannabis Find
A woman has been arrested after a cannabis growhouse was discovered by gardai in County Carlow. The plants, believed to be worth approximately €250,000, were found during a planned search of a house yesterday. The woman, in her 40's, is being questioned at Carlow garda station.

Body Of Missing Woman Frankie Devlin Found
Gardaí have reported that the body of Frankie Devlin was recovered on Wednesday 9 October. Ms Devlin (67) was reported missing on Saturday 5 October and a search operation had been ongoing. The discovery was made on the same day that garda had renewed an appeal for information on the whereabouts of Ms Devlin.

Body Of A Woman Discovered At House In Co Donegal
An investigation has been launched into the death of a woman in Killygordon, Co Donegal. The body of a woman, aged in her 20s, was discovered at a house in the town in the early hours of this morning, Friday, 04 January. A post-mortem is due to be carried out which will determine the course of the investigation, garda have said.
