Red Cow Roundabout Incident Closes Road

Motorists have been requested to avoid the Red Cow Roundabout in Dublin due to an incident involving a cement truck.

Traffic from the Naas Road are unable to access the M50 southbound.

Emergency work is ongoing to remove the trailer from the lorry, but motorists have been urged to avoid the area.

The Luas Red Line is also affected and no services are running between the Red Cow and Blackhorse stops.

Services on the line are running between Tallaght and Red Cow, and between Blackhorse and Connolly.

Man Killed In Sligo Crash
A man has died after a single vehicle road traffic collision in Sligo. The incident occurred at approximately 11.15pm last night when a male aged in his 80s was seriously injured after the car he was driving collided with a stone wall at Knappagh Road. He was taken by ambulance to Sligo General Hospital where he passed away this evening.

New Road Layouts For Red Cow Junction
Motorists driving through the M50 in Dublin's Red Cow roundabout are facing new road layouts from today. Two lanes have been opened at the Monastery Lane traffic lights for the N7 eastbound to the city and Luas, as well as two lanes for traffic travelling southbound and northbound.

Man Dies After Being Struck By Luas
A man has died after he was hit by a Luas tram in Dublin. The collision took place shortly before midnight on Monday 11 March at the Kingswood area in south-west Dublin. Gardaí confirmed this morning, Tuesday 12, that the man was knocked down and killed.

Dublin Blaze Disrupts Traffic
A fire in a derelict building in James Street in Dublin caused traffic disruption earlier on Thursday. Gardaí and fire crews searched the building, but it is not thought that anyone was inside when the blaze broke out. James Street was closed to inbound traffic and diversions put in place, but it has since reopened.
