Man Dies In Ballybrittas House

A 55-year-old man has died at a house in Count Laois.

Garda, called to an incident at a house in Ballybrittas on Sunday evening, found a man with severe head injuries in the house.

A 53-year-old woman was taken to hospital in Portlaoise with non-life threatening injuries.

The scene is being investigated by a team of Garda specialists.

A post mortem is expected to be conducted.

Publican's Body Found
The body of a public house owner in Co Offaly has been discovered in suspicious circumstances. Officers are investigating after the discovery of the man who was in his 60s at 7.30am on Wednesday. The body was discovered by a member of the man's family, at a public house owned by the dead man in Daingean, Co.Offaly.

Man Arrested Over Fatal House Fire Released Without Charge
A man arrested in connection with a fatal house fire in Dublin has been released without charge. A 44-year-old man died in the blaze which happened at a property on Oakland's Terrace, Rathgar, at around 3am on Tuesday, 21 August. It is understood the man had escaped from the fire before returning inside and suffered critical injuries.

Three Die In Separate House Fires
Two men and a woman have died in three separate house fires in Limerick and Kerry. In the latest incident, a man in his 60s died following a house fire in Tralee in Co Kerry. The fire broke out in the terraced house in Connolly Park at about 9.30pm yesterday. Gardaí were called to the scene at around 9.
