Limerick Gun And Drug Seizure

Gardaí seized a number of guns, a quantity of ammunition and drugs during a five hour search of houses in Limerick city.

Around 100 Gardaí swooped on premises in the South Hall area of the city following a gun attack on a patrol car on Sunday night.

One man detained during the operation was subsequently released without charge.

Gardaí said that four guns, ammunition, and cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €5,000 was seized during the operation.

More Than 50 Horses Seized In Cork

Gun And Ammunition Recovered In Search
Gardaí in Dundalk have arrested a man in connection with the discovery of a loaded gun and an assortment of ammunition. It is understood that the find was made during a search of a property in the town on Wednesday. The man is being held Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939. Garda say that their investigation is ongoing.

Drugs And Submachine Gun Seized In Dublin
Gardaí have seized a large quantity of drugs and a submachine gun in Dublin. Gardaí from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau made the discovery during the search of an apartment in the Castleknock area. Six kilograms of cocaine, worth an estimated street value of over €400,000, along with the firearm and ammunition were found.

A teenager has been arrested in connection with a drugs find in Dublin on Wednesday. Gardaí say the find was a result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Lucan area.

Two Men To Appear In Court For Roy Collins Murder
Two men will appear in court on Friday charged with the murder of businessman Roy Collins. It is understood the two men, who are members of the McCarthy-Dundon gang – one of whom is regarded as a major criminal figure – will be charged before the Special Criminal Court in connection with the 2009 gun attack.
