Six-Year-Old Attacked By Rottweilers In Co Antrim

A six-year-old girl is recovering in hospital from serious injuries after being attacked by two rottweilers at a holiday home at Dervock, near Ballymoney in County Antrim.

Sophia Kimpton needed plastic surgery at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald, for multiple injuries to her head, arms and back.

The girl was on holiday from London with her parents when the vicious attack occurred on Tuesday.

The girl’s mother fought off the dogs, which were then shot by a farmer.

Ms Beckett believes her daughter would have died had the attack lasted any longer.

The working farm in Dervock is an approved holiday home by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, who are investigating the incident.
