Two People Killed In Separate Road Incidents
Two people have been killed in separate road accidents today in County Limerick and County Galway.
A 32-year-old man died in a single vehicle collision on the N69 at Cowpark, Kilcornan in County Limerick.
The incident happened at around 1.00am on Tuesday morning and the man was removed to Limerick Regional Hospital where he died this afternoon.
In a separate incident, a woman died following a road traffic collision in County Galway at around 9.40am this morning.
The woman, in her 50s, was struck by a car at a junction in Claregalway and the N17 had been closed to traffic from Calregalway to Corinthians Rugby Club but has since reopened.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the car has been taken to hospital in Galway.
Members of the forensic collision unit are at the scene carrying out a detailed examination.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

Council Urged To 'Stop Stalling' On Flood Defence Works
Galway County Council has been urged to "stop stalling" and ensure that work on a flood relief channel between Kinvara and Chaermore is carried out "without delay". Making the call, Fianna Fáil General Election candidate for Galway East Cllr. Anne Rabbitte, raised concerns that the ongoing delays will see the project pushed out indefinitely.

Man Killed In Wicklow Crash
A man has died following a road collision in County Wicklow. Aged in his 40s, the man was walking near a restaurant in Laragh shortly after 2am on Sunday 07 April when he was struck by a car. The driver was uninjured. Police are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity at the time or who has dash cam footage of the collision to contact them.

Warning Issued Over East Limerick Water Supply
Residents in parts of east Limerick are being warned against using their water for drinking, cooking or food preparation due to pollution concerns. The Sanitary Authority issued the warning due to the presence of high nitrates, saying the water should not be used until further notice, except for flushing toilets and internal house plumbing.
