Murder Investigation Launched After Dublin Shooting
Gardaí have launched a murder investigation after a man was shot dead in Dublin in the early hours of Monday morning.
The body of the man - named in reports as Derek Duffy, 37, from Cabra - was found in a car at Casement Park in Finglas in north Dublin, shortly before 4am.
It is believed that he may have been shot in the car, before his killers then attempted to set the vehicle on fire.
Gardaí believe that the murder may be drug-related.
The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination and the body has been removed for a post-mortem examination.

Murder Investigation Launched After Fatal Shooting In Dublin
An investigation has been launched after a man was shot dead in Balbriggan, Co Dublin on Thursday morning. Gardaí say that a man aged in his 30s was shot dead while he sat in his car on Clonard Street just after 9am yesterday. A woman who was also in the suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Paul Kavanagh, a father-of-two from Drimnagh, had just driven away from his home when his car was rammed by an Audi A3. Two men in balaclavas fired several shots at Mr Kavanagh, who died at the scene.

Gardaí investigating the murder of teenager Melanie McCarthy-McNamara have found a shotgun, believed to be the murder weapon. Detectives found a shotgun, balaclava and gloves near Bianconi Avenue where they discovered the stolen black Hyundai used by the killers.
