Man Killed In Westmeath Crash Named
A 23-year-old man who died following a road crash in Co Westmeath has been named as Dan Hynes, from Tulsk, Co Roscommon.
Mr Hynes was a passenger in a van, which struck a jeep on the Mullingar Road in Delvin around 7am on Tuesday morning.
He was taken to hospital, but died later from his injuries.

SIPTU members employed in the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) have refused to accept a management attempt to impose a 10% pay cut, a freeze on pension scheme contributions and seven compulsory redundancies on its staff. Man Dies In Fall At Sligo Hotel
Gardaí in Sligo have reported the death of a 28-year-old man after a fall from a railing on Quay Street. The man is thought to have been trying to access Sligo City Hotel at about 01:45 when he fell, sustaining serious head injuries. It is understood that a woman was also injured in the incident.

Woman, 82, Dies In Road Accident
An 82-year-old woman has died following a road accident in Donegal. The crash occurred at around 3.50pm on Monday (18 August) at The Ross in Bundoran. Gardaí have said a car collided with a fence in the incident. The woman was transferred to Sligo Hospital but later died from her injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí.

Man Charged Over Fatal Dublin Stabbing
A 20-year-old Dublin man has been charged in connection with the stabbing of Mark Spellman in Sandymount on Saturday morning. Dane Pearse from the Irishtown area of south Dublin has been charged at Dublin District Court with serious assault and possession of a weapon.
