Cork Crashes Kills Four
Four people have died in two separate car crashes in County Cork.
Two died following a collision between a van and a 4x4 on the Mitchelstown relief road just after 2pm this afternoon.
Earlier a three-car accident has left two dead in the County this morning.
The victims were name as Gerard O'Keefe, 25, from Duarrigle, Newmarket and James McAuliffe, 39, from Barry's Place in Newmarket. Both men died in the same car at the scene.
The collision near Kanturk on the Newmarket Road occurred at 8am.
A woman also in the car has been taken to Cork University Hospital. She is not believed to have life-threatening injuries.
The driver of one of the other vehicles involved was cut from the wreckage. He was also taken to the University Hospital in Cork.
The driver of the third car was treated for shock.
The Kanturk to Newmarket road remained closed this afternoon due to the collision and Gardaí have appealed for witnesses.

Man Dies In Shooting Incident

Woman, 82, Dies In Road Accident
An 82-year-old woman has died following a road accident in Donegal. The crash occurred at around 3.50pm on Monday (18 August) at The Ross in Bundoran. Gardaí have said a car collided with a fence in the incident. The woman was transferred to Sligo Hospital but later died from her injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí.

Wallace Leaves Car Illegally Parked In Aer Lingus Staff Car Park
Embattled Independent TD Mick Wallace now faces another bill of €140 after his four-wheel drive BMW was towed from the Aer Lingus staff car park. Mr Wallace, spotted in the departure lounge of Dublin Airport last Friday, left his BMW illegally parked in the Aer Lingus staff car park.

Witnesses Sought To Fatal Motorcycle Collision
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to a serious collision in Co Cork on Tuesday evening. At about 8pm, a man aged in his 40s, died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at Lough Beg, Ringaskiddy. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and has since been taken to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem.
