Aer Lingus Gets Tough On Belfast Move

Aer Lingus is getting tough on the move to the airline's new Belfast hub.

RTÉ is reporting that pilots who fail to co-operate with the recruitment process as part of the move to new Belfast base of operations may be suspended.

Air Lingus Chief Executive Dermot Mannion is reported as saying that he hoped pilots would co-operate with the Belfast switchover.

The airline expects the Belfast hub to be up and running by Monday, December 10.

Union and management are meeting today for talks regarding a pay freeze. Unions want Aer Lingus to comply with national agreements regarding a phased pay increase due in October this year and April next year.
