Three Held Over Fatal Limerick Shooting
Three people are being questioned in connection with the murder of a man in Limerick city early this week.
Gary Grant, 25, was shot outside a house in St Ita's Street in the St Mary's Park area around 10:15pm on Monday night.
He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, but died on arrival.
A 20-year-old man was arrested shortly after the shooting and is being held at Henry Street garda station.
An elderly couple - an 81-year-old man and a woman in her 70s - were arrested on Tuesday night.
Both are being held under the Offences Against the State Act at Mayorstone garda station.
Gardaí also discovered a handgun and a loaded magazine during follow-up searches in St Mary's Park on Tuesday afternoon.
It has also emerged that Mr Grant was shot just seconds after armed police from the Emergency Response Unit had carried out a checkpoint in the area.

€100,000 In Drugs Found After Shooting
An investigation by Garda following a shooting incident in Limerick has recovered heroin and cocaine with an estimated street value of €100,000, as well as firearms. Two men are also being held under section 30 of the offences against the state act.

Teenager And Young Child Injured In Alleged Shooting In West Dublin
An investigation has been launched into an alleged shooting incident in West Dublin. According to reports, a teenager and a young child have been injured in an incident that gardaí have said is "ongoing" in the Parlickstown area of Blanchardstown. The area has been sealed off and gardaí are at the scene. Further updates to follow.

Man Critical After Dublin Shooting
A man is in a critical condition after being shot several times in Dublin. The shooting happened at a house on Stannaway Road in the Crumlin area in the early hours of Monday morning, 22 August. The man, aged in his 30s, is being treated at St James's Hospital. Gardaí have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
