Murder Alert On Cork Slurry Tank Body
Garda divers are set to remove what is believed to be the body of a man found in a slurry tank on a farm in Cork on Thursday.
The discovery was made on the farm at Shanlaragh in Dunmanaway on Thursday morning. The lane leading to the farm has been cordoned off.
A technical examination of the scene was carried out by garda experts on Thursday night.
The death is being treated as suspicious and, according to reports, early indications suggest that a murder investigation is likely to be launched.

Gardaí investigating the murder of an English New Age traveller whose body was found in a slurry tank on a Cork farm last week have appealed for help in tracing a van. The van being sought is a red-coloured Ford Courier van, with the registration number 95 LK 3375.

Five Arrested Over Donegal Arson Attacks
Gardaí investigating a series of fires in the Buncrana area have arrested five males. Officers have been investigating eleven fires in the area since early July. They said that the attacks were random, with some occurring in isolated rural areas, and the properties targeted included unoccupied buildings, farm sheds, vehicles and a health centre.

Body Confirmed As Missing Co Galway Student
A body found on the coastline of Roscam in Galway has been confirmed as missing 25-year-old Jason McNulty. Gardaí and a team of volunteers had been searching for Mr McNulty since he was reported missing last Thursday. Mr McNulty, a student from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, had been out with friends at Connacht Hotel in Galway.

Gardaí have arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with a stabbing incident in Co Cavan on New Year's Eve. Marek Swider was fatally stabbed in a violent incident at a house on Dublin Street in Ballyjamesduff on Sunday, 31 December. The arrest was made in Cork city this morning, Thursday 04 January.
