Passenger Held In Cork Airport Drugs Seizure

Heroin with an estimated street value of €30,000 has been intercepted at Cork Airport.

It was reported that the discovery was made when a man, said to be an Iranian in his 30s, become ill while on a flight from Amsterdam to Cork.

The man is alleged to have swallowed fifteen capsules of the drug. He was originally arrested by members of the Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit at Cork Airport, but was then taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
