Woman Arrested Over Cork Murder

A woman in her forties has been arrested in connection with the murder of New Age traveller Gary Bull in Cork.

She had been taken to Bandon Garda Station.

The body of Mr Bull, who is originally from the Hertfordshire area of England, was found in a slurry tank on a farm in the Shanlaragh area of Dunmanway last Thursday.

A post-mortem revealed that he died from head injuries.

Mr Bull had been living in a mobile home near Macroom in west Cork for several years.

Earlier, two men, aged 24 and 35, who were arrested in connection with Mr Bull's death were released.

Three women, aged 42, 33 and 19 and a 22-year-old man have also been released.

Files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Customs Seize 120,000 Illegal Cigarettes
Cigarettes with an estimated retail value of €57,000 have been seized by customs officers at Cork Airport. Some 120,000 Marlboro cigarettes were discovered in 12 suitcases that had arrived on a flight from Wroclaw, Poland. Garda arrested two men, understood to be Polish nationals, in connection with the find.
