Two More Killed In Overnight Road Crashes

There have been another two fatalities in overnight car crashes.

A 22-year-old man died after the car he was a passenger in overturned and struck an embankment in Forenaughts Little in Naas, Co Kildare. The incident happened around 1.50am on Monday.

His body was taken to Naas General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

It is understood that no other cars were involved in the crash.

A man was also killed in Co Westmeath after he was struck by a car in a second incident.

The incident happened shortly after 3.30am on Monday morning on the Athboy to Delvin Road in Crowenstown.

The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination to take place.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone who was travelling on the same road between 3am and 4am on Monday morning to contact them at Mullingar Garda Station.

Two Die In Road Crashes In Tipperary And Sligo
A 22-year-old man has died in a road accident in Co Sligo. It is understood that the man died when he was thrown from his tractor and struck by a trailer it was towing at around 6.20pm on Monday. The accident happened at Clogher, Monasteraden. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Man Injured In Longford Road Crash
A man has been seriously injured in a road collision in Co. Longford. The incident happened shortly before 6pm on Monday on the Edgeworthstown Road near Ballymahon. It is understood that a car collided with a van. Two other people were also taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Woman Killed In Fatal Car Crash In Co Limerick
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a fatal car crash in Co Limerick. The incident happened around 11:30pm at the Applegreen service station at Coolanoran, Rathkeale on 05 March. The driver of the car, a woman in her late 30s, was fatally injured in the single-car crash.

Man Injured In Car Crash
A man has been injured in a crash outside Athlone. The single vehicle incident happened at approximately 6.50am this morning at Ballynahown. The drivers injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Gardai in Athlone are appealing to anyone with information to contact them on 090 649-8-550.

Cork Crash Victim Named
Gardaí have named the young woman who was killed in a three-car collision in Co. Cork on Monday. Sian Roberts, 19, from Kilbarry, Fermoy, was killed when the car she was traveling in was involved in a collision with two other vehicles on the Cork-to-Dublin Road in Cork City on Monday evening.
