Limerick Factory 'Facing Closure' Over Strike
A plant which manufacturers car components in Limerick is reportedly facing closure as strike action continues at the site.
Workers at the Atlas Aluminium company have been on strike for over a week. The strike, which is being carried out by members of SIPTU, is being held over a dispute over pay and conditions for some of the Polish workers employed at the factory.
The company, which produces die cast components for the worldwide car industry, is now reportedly facing closure as a result of the strike action, because it claims it is unable to meet its orders.
