Roads Claim Another Victim
Another motorist has died on the Republic's roads.
The so far unnamed 35-year-old man was killed after the car he was driving collided with a wall in Co Galway overnight.
The accident happened at around midnight on the Spiddal to Galway road.
Traffic was still being diverted away from the scene on Friday morning and the road is not expected to reopen until at least midday.

Toll Prices Dropped At Port Tunnel
Toll prices at Dublin Port Tunnel are to drop to a minimum of €3 from January 1. The National Roads Authority (NRA) has announced that it is scrapping the current three-tier pricing system and replacing it with a two-tier system.

Fatal Collisions Claim Two
Gardai in Wexford and Galway are investigating the circumstances surrounding two separate road collisions today. A collision in Gorey, county Wexford, around 00.05am this morning, involved a single vehicle at Ballyellen on the M11 between Arklow and Gorey on the Southbound lane.

Irish Road Deaths Increase
This year has seen a rise in the amount of people dying on Irish roads, with the number as of 12 September totalling 132 people; an increase of 13 on the same period last year. 66 drivers lost their lives on our roads, the largest of any road user category. 14 of those drivers were between the ages of 21-25, the highest of any driver age group.

Air Chaos For Cork
The ongoing dispute involving air traffic controllers is set to disrupt flights at Cork Airport. Arrivals and departures will be hit for eight hours from midnight tonight. The airport has been told that controllers will not provide cover for arriving and departing flights during that period.
