Trawler Wreck Examination Today
Police officers are due on board the salvaged wreck of the Pere Charles trawler today.
It is being brought to Arklow in Co Wicklow for examination so they can thoroughly search the vessel for the remains of its five crew members.
They have been missing since the trawler sank off Hook Head on January 10th.
However, underwater searches shortly after the tragedy failed to locate any remains on board the boat.
The Pere Charles was raised from the seabed yesterday by a salvage crew that also raised the sunken Maggie B earlier this week.
No remains were found on board that trawler either, which also sank off Hook Head in March 2006.
