Dramatic Sea Rescue Saves Fishermen
There was a dramatic sea rescue in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Four crew-members from an Irish registered fishing boat were plucked to safety by the Howth RNLI lifeboat north of Dublin Bay.
The four desperate sailors were taken from rocks at Balscadden near Howth during the hours of darkness at around 4am, after their vessel, the Crystal Sea, sank in the chill sea
All four are said to be safe and, pending a medical examination, none are believed to have sustained serious injuries.
Howth Coastguard also assisted in the rescue operation.

New Sea Safety Centre Opens In Waterford
A new Sea Safety Centre will open over the weekend in a bid to help reduce drownings in Waterford. The Boatstrand Sea Safety Centre will be officially opened on Saturday 11 August by John Leech, CEO of Irish Water Safety (IWS). The new facility is situated 11 miles south-west of Waterford city.

Diver's Body Recovered Off Co. Donegal Coast
The body off a British police constable who went missing following a dive at Horn Head off the County Donegal coast on Sunday afternoon has been recovered. Paul Jackson, 49, was a constable with Humberside Police and had been on holiday in Donegal with friends.

Young Man Dies After Sea Rescue Off Donegal Coast
A young man has died after he was recovered from the sea off the Donegal coast. The man, aged in his mid-20's, was found in the Ballyshannon Estuary on Sunday and rushed to Sligo University Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Man In Serious Condition Following Sea Rescue
A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being rescued from the sea in Co Wexford. An emergency operation was launched at about 19:00 on Wednesday after the man got into difficulty while swimming at Duncannon beach.

A nine-year-old boy has died three days after he fell into the sea near Blackhead lighthouse in north Clare. Aaron O'Flaherty, from Limerick city, fell into the sea last Sunday while out with his father at a popular angling spot.
