Investigation Launched Into Galway Burglary
Gardaí have launched an investigation into an aggravated burglary in Co Galway on Sunday night.
Two men, wearing balaclavas, entered a house in Ballard East in Barna around 9pm and demanded money from the owner of the property.
A man and a woman who were in the house at the time of burglary were tied up and the man sustained head injuries.
The robbers escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. It is believed that one of the men was carrying a gun.
No arrests have been made so far.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a couple were assaulted during a burglary in Co Galway. The incident occurred around 7:30pm at Parkwest, Clonberne on Tuesday, 05 January. It is understood a man and a woman in their 30s were returning home from work with their two children when three men entered their house and assaulted them.

17 People Arrested In Warrants Search Operations
Gardaí have arrested 17 people in a series of raids in the Tallaght and Rathfarnham areas. Garda staged a "day of action" on Thursday 27 June in an operation targeting people wanted by the courts for various drugs, burglary, theft, road traffic offences and public order matters offences.

Three In Court Following Tipperary Attack
Three of the five men arrested in relation to the shooting and stabbing of two men in Tipperary yesterday are appearing in Roscrea District Court this Thursday morning. The other two men were released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions regarding their detentions.
