Woman 'Seriously Hurt' In Longford Crash

A woman was reportedly injured in a serious crash in Co Longford on Monday afternoon.

It is understood that the woman, believed to be in her 60s, was knocked down as she crossed the street in Granard around 4pm on Monday.

She was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar for treatment.

A woman died in hospital on Monday, following a road crash in Co. Kildare earlier in the day. The 82-year-old was struck by a van in Newbridge around 12:30pm. She was taken to Naas Hospital for treatment, but died there later.

A man has been killed in a collision in Galway. The car crash happened at around 2.45am this morning on the Headford to Galway Road. The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

19-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Co Longford Crash
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a serious road traffic accident in Ferefad, Co Longford on Sunday, 09 August. A 19-year-old man was seriously injured with the car he was travelling in collided with a ditch on the Ferefad to Ballymacormack road at about 03:50. The driver of the car and four other passengers were uninjured in the crash.

Woman Dies In Cork Crash
A woman has died following a single vehicle road crash in Co Cork. The incident occurred on a round-about leading into Skibbereen town at approximately 1.45am on Monday. One man and three women were also injured in the collision. The stretch of road is currently closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carry out an examination.

Woman Killed And Man Seriously Injured In Co Wexford Road Crash
A woman has died in a two-car collision on the R741 between Gorey and Wexford. Gardaí have said that woman, aged in her 20s, died in the crash at around 10am on Thursday morning at Raheenaskeagh, north of the junction for Oulart village. The single male occupant of the second is being treated for serious injuries at Wexford Regional Hospital.
