Man Stabbed To Death In Dublin

A man has died after being stabbed in Dublin.

The 42-year-old was stabbed in a lane off the Beechfield Road in Walkinstown around 9pm on Monday.

According to reports, the man was attempting to drive his car down the lane, but his route was blocked by another vehicle. He was then attacked, beaten and stabbed in the head and body.

He was taken to St James' Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The area where the attack took place remains sealed off and it is understood that a firearm has been recovered from the scene.

According to reports, garda­ are investigating claims that the attack was road-rage related. However, the discovery of the gun means that the policed are not ruling out the possibility that the attack was related to a row between people involved in criminality.

Man Arrested After Dutch Man Is Found Stabbed To Death
A man, 41, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Kamal El Habsati. Mr Habsati's body was discovered at an apartment in Ballymun on 5th December. He was a Dutch Citizen of Morrocan descent. The man is being held at Ballymun Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Garda Appeal For Information On Alleged Rape In Dublin City Centre
Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following the alleged rape of a woman in Dublin in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 11 December. According to garda a woman went to a south Dublin garda station to report begin attacked sometime between midnight and 2am this morning.
