Weekend Road Crashes Claim More Lives
More lives have been lost in carnage on Irish roads over the weekend.
On Friday, a 19-year-old man died in a collision at Monasteroais in Edenderry in Co. Offaly.
The man was a passenger in a car, which collided with a pillar, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was also seriously injured in the crash and was taken to Tullamore Hospital for treatment.
On Sunday, a 50-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car at Glenbrack on the outskirts of Gort in Co. Galways.
Also on Sunday, a 68-year-old woman who was injured in a road collision in Co. Tipperary earlier this month died in hospital.
The woman was crossing Stafford Street in Nenagh on December 8 when she was struck by a car.
She was pronounced dead at Cork Regional Hospital on Sunday.
A man who was involved in a crash in Dublin on Thursday also died in hospital on Sunday. His car collided with a truck on the northbound carriageway of the M50 on Thursday.
Five people were also injured in a single car crash in on the Lanesborough Road in Roscommon on Sunday night.

Man Dies In Shooting Incident
A 21-year-old man who was shot in Bunratty, Co Clare, died yesterday in hospital. Two men are still being questioned over the attack at the Bunratty Castle Hotel car park, and are being detained at Mayfield and Gurranabraher Garda Stations.

Two Arrested Following Shooting Incident
Two men are being questioned following a shooting attack in Co Clare in which a 21-year-old was injured. The incident took place at the Bunratty Hotel car park in the early hours of Sunday morning. It is believed that up to 20 people may have witnessed the incident. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
