Quinns' Assured By Ahern In Hunt For Killers
The parents of murdered Armagh man Paul Quinn have been assured by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern that ‘no stone will be left unturned’ in the hunt for his killers.
Mr Ahern briefly joined Stephen and Briege Quinn during their meeting with Brian Lenihan in Dublin today.
Their 21-year-old son was beaten to death by a gang of men in a shed in County Monaghan in October.
They believe members of the IRA carried out the killing.
Mr and Mrs Quinn said that they were satisfied that Paul’s name had been cleared of links to criminality and the pace of investigation being conducted by Gardaí and the PSNI.
SDLP MLA Dominic Bradley, who accompanied Mr and Mrs Quinn said the investigation was being held back by the fact that the crime scene had been cleaned to remove evidence.
Mr Bradley called Sinn Fein MLA Conor Murphy to withdraw earlier comments about Paul Quinn.
