Arrests Follow Dublin Heroin Seizure
Two people have been arrested following the seizure of €6.5 million of heroin by gardaí in Dublin.
More than 30kgs of the drug were found in a van, which was searched in the Palmerstown area on Tuesday night. A 35-year-old man was arrested and a woman, also aged 35, was later arrested during follow-up searches.
The pair are being held in Clondalkin Garda Station.
During the operation, which involved officers from the National Drugs Unit, the Air Support Unit and the Garda Technical Bureau, three cars were also seized, including a BMW X5 and more than €60,000 has been frozen in a number of bank accounts.

Gardaí Arrest 45 In Major Drugs Operation
A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and “crack” cocaine in the Dublin region. The operation, which involved Garda drug units from Kevin Street, Pearse Street and Store Street stations, resulted in 150 charges being brought, according to Gardaí this morning.

80 Arrested In Dublin Drug Operation
Some 80 arrests have been made in the past 48 hours in a mass drug operation in Dublin. Detectives from the Garda National Drugs Unit working closely with local Garda units from the greater Dublin area searched over 100 premises in the past 48 hours and arrested 80 people suspected of involvement in the sale and supply of Heroin and Cocaine.

Gardaí in Clondalkin arrested four people in relation to a discovery of drugs and a firearm at a house yesterday. Officers from the Gardaí Drugs Unit at Clondalkin, assisted by the District Detective Unit and members from Operations Anvil, searched a house at Grange View Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 at approximately 9pm on Sunday.

Man Arrested Over Cocaine And Ammunition Find
Gardaí in Co Louth have seized a quantity of cocaine and 9mm ammunition following the search of a car. Cocaine worth an estimated €50,000, and a small quantity of ammunition, was uncovered when garda searched the car at about 18:00 in Drogheda on Monday. Officers arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the find.
