Deadly Road Toll Rises
Road crashes have again claimed lives with news that two people died in separate road accidents in Co Kildare and Co Tipperary.
A 51-year-old man died in hospital in the early hours of this morning after he was knocked down and fatally injured by a car in Carbury, Co Kildare, at around 8.30pm last night.
The road where the accident occurred was closed to traffic until around after midday today.
Meanwhile, in Co Tipperary, one person has been confirmed dead after a multi-vehicle pile-up on the N62 between Roscrea and Templemore.
Several others were injured in the crash, which involved two trucks and seven cars.
Gardaí say the road is likely to remain closed for most of the day.

Weekend Road Carnage
The Road Safety Authority has called for road users to exercise extra caution on the roads following this weekend's road carnage. Seven people have died in three separate accidents on Irish roads since Friday. Three men and one woman were killed in a two-car collision in Co Laois.

A 21-year-old man has died following a road collision in Co Wexford this morning. He was a passenger in a van that crashed at Ballydoyle, Ballycogley, Kilmore Quay at around 9.40am. A statement released by Garda said: "One man was arrested and processed at Wexford Garda station under drink driving legislation. He has since been released.

66-Year-Old Man Killed In Road Accident In Co Kildare
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Co Kildare. A 66-year-old man was fatally injured when a car he was driving collided with a truck at around 2.45pm at Kilmurray, Johnstown Bridge on Thursday, 10 November.
