One Injured In Kilkenny Crash
A male pedestrian is reported to be seriously ill in hospital after being involved in a road crash in Kilkenny.
It is understood that the man was struck by a lorry near Lehearts on the Kilkenny to Waterford road around 10:20am on Tuesday.
He is being treated in St Luke's Hospital.
The road has been closed for a technical examination to take place and motorists are being advised to avoid the area if possible.

A 19-year-old man has died in a road crash in Co Kilkenny. The incident happened around 11pm on Tuesday night, when the man's car collided with a van on the Freshford Road at Troyswood. The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to St Luke's Hospital.

Woman Killed In Carlow Road Crash
A woman has been killed in a road crash at Leagh, Rathoe. The two car collision happened at around 7.25pm last night on the Carlow to Wexford Road. The female in her 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the other car were taken to Kilkenny Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The man’s body has been removed to Kilkenny hospital. His name has not yet been released. Gardaí are investigating the incident.

Two people have been killed in a two-car collision in north Dublin this morning, Friday 22 March. The pair, a man in his 70s and a woman in her 30s, died in the crash on the Drumcondra Road at the junction of Hollybank Road at around 6am. The route remains closed while Gardaí carry out a technical and forensic examination.

Gardaí have reported the death of a 49-year-old woman in a road crash between Athlone and Ballinasloe on Monday monring. According to garda the woman died when the car she was in was struck by a taxi. The taxi is understood to have also been seriously injured in the crash and is being treated at Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe.
