Irish Citizens In Lithuanian Arms Arrest
Two Irish nationals are reported to have been arrested in Lithuania on suspicion of attempting to purchase illegal firearms and explosives.
According to reports, a man and a woman were arrested in the capital Vilnius, during an anti-terrorist operation conducted by officers from the state security department and a special unit from the Defence Ministry.
Michael Campbell and his partner Fiona Duffy, both from Dundalk, were allegedly trying to buy arms and explosives for the Real IRA.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that they were aware of the arrests and would be providing assistance to the Lithuanian police.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has also confirmed that it is aware of the arrests and is monitoring the situation.

Adams To Be Extradited To NI
Liam Adams will be extradited to Northern Ireland following claims that he sexually assaulted his daughter. Mr Adams is wanted by the Police Service of Northern Ireland in relation to 18 alleged offences against his daughter, Aine Tyrell, who has waived her right to anonymity.
