Dublin Arrest Marks Development In Cleary Murder Case

A woman in her late twenties has been arrested at her home in Beaumont, Dublin as part of the investigation into the death of young mother Donna Cleary.

The woman is suspected to have been in possession of a firearm on the night of the murder.

Donna Cleary was shot at a house party in Adare Green in Coolock on 5 March 2006.

Five shots were fired into the house after a group of men were denied entry to the party.

22-year-old Dwayne Foster, who was the main suspect for the crime, later died in gardaí custody.

The woman can be questioned for up to three days.

A woman in her twenties has been arrested in connection with the murder of Dublin woman Donna Cleary in 2006. It is understood that the woman, who was arrested in the capital on Thursday morning, has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm. She can be questioned for up to three days.

Fire Destroys Three Boats Near Yacht Club A fire near the Royal Irish Yacht Club in Dún Laoghaire has destroyed three yachts. No one was on board any of the vessels, two of which sank. The Dublin Fire Brigade was contacted shortly before midnight and was at at the scene at the marina until morning.

Woman Released Without Charge Over Donegal Murder
A woman arrested in connection with the murder of Seamus Donnelly has been released without charge. Mr Doherty was killed at his home in Drumacanoo on 17 June 2012. The woman, 57, was released this morning. A man, 51, who was arrested on Wednesday is still being questioned by garda.

Dublin Waste Firm Told To Stop Using Farm Site
Three Dublin-based waste companies have been told by the Environmental Protection Agency to stop using a facility at a Co Kildare farm to dispose of residual black bin waste. Greyhound, Thorntons and Oxigen were using Cleary Composting near Monasterevin to dispose of so-called “organic fines” – the organic element of household black bins.
