One Injured In Dublin House Fire

One person has reportedly been injured in a house fire in south Dublin this morning.

It is understood that the fire broke out at Walkers' Cottages in Rathmines around 3:45am on Tuesday.

Four units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene.

It is understood that an 18-year-old was taken to St James's Hospital to be treated for minor burns.

Dublin Fire Brigade's Halloween Safety Campaign, 'Be Safe Been Seen' has been launched at Dublin Fire HQ by tArdmhéara Críona Ní Dhálaigh. The Fire Brigade will work with Dublin Bus, An Garda Siochana and the DSPCA in an effort to inform young people about the dangers of illegal bonfires and fireworks.

Major Delays On M1 Following Collision
Motorists are facing severe delays on the M1 southbound following a collision involving two HGVs. The Dublin Fire Brigade is currently at the scene. No one has been seriously injured, however the size of the trucks is the cause of the road closure, according to Gardai. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and to seek an alternative route.
