Good News On Dublin Jobs

There's to be a major investment from a US-based company in Ireland with news that of plans to create 100 multi-lingual sales jobs in Dublin.

ServiceSource says the jobs will be created as part of an expansion of its existing facility in Loughlinstown.

The company, which helps technology firms to provide services to their customers, already employs around 100 people at the Cherrywood Science and Technology Park.

ServiceSource was originally founded in 1987 as Delostar Electronics and at that time was principally involved with the brokerage of computer spares.

Solectron acquired the business in June 2005 with a view of expanding the existing business and to further develop its multi-vendor IT brokerage offering into the US.

The principal activities of ServiceSource are related to the movement of service spares around the globe and currently it distributes a wide range of parts to thousands of locations on a daily basis.

The main area of focus in terms of product is still the PC market, including related products such as laptops, servers, printers and more recently has included EPOS equipment.

Through the provision of these services, ServiceSource has developed a number of innovative, flexible and cost effective solutions that involve ownership of inventory and processes.
